Commonly Hired Positions

We frequently recruit candidates for the following positions.  While not all of these positions are always available, we will maintain a record of your application and contact you if your qualifications meet a position that becomes available in the future.   Available shifts are:  Morning / Afternoon / Evening and Weekends.

The Continental Group will give Florida "Ready to Work" certificate holders priority in job placement.

PROPERTY MANAGER: 

Property Managers are certified and licensed by the State of Florida for Community Association Management (CAM).  The manager works with the association, Board of Directors and/or the developer to manage and operate the community.  Strong management, customer service and supervisory skills are required. Property Managers may have varied backgrounds that include knowledge of financial statements, budgets, resident services, maintenance services, construction, real estate, mechanical engineering, hospitality, etc. For more information about the CAM License go to http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/index or call the Department of Business and Professional Regulations in Tallahassee at 850-487-1239.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

The administrative assistant is a highly skilled executive secretary.  This position supports the daily work of the manager.  A solid background in office management, with computer skills, communication skills and customer service skills are required. 

FRONT DESK PERSONNEL:

The Concierge, front desk manager and front desk staff are the first contacts residents see each day.  The highest level of customer service skills are required for these very visible positions, as well as strong organizational skills.  The duties of the Front Desk include, but are not limited to, assisting the residents of the building and managing the flow of guests, deliveries and service providers in and out of the community.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:

The maintenance supervisor is responsible for maintaining the “physical plant”.  Maintenance Supervisors usually are licensed and certified in several areas.  Strong maintenance and repair skills are needed in HVAC, cooling towers, chillers, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electricity.  Strong supervisory skills are also needed. 

ASSISTANT TO MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:

The Assistant to the Maintenance Supervisor should be able to perform hands-on maintenance duties and possess proficiency in electrical, plumbing, interior and exterior maintenance.

MAINTENANCE:

The maintenance staff handles the work related to the daily operation of the community. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical repairs is preferred. Schedules vary according to the needs of the community.

PORTER/HOUSEKEEPER:

Porters and housekeepers represent the janitorial staff in our communities. Positions may be indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both. Schedules vary according to the needs of the community.
